We left Utah in a blizzard! This much snow would gridlock us in Dallas, and maybe Utah should heed some caution! We were the 5th flight to attempt take off yesterday and it didn't go so well. The pilot aborted halfway down the runway and then trying to pull off, slid off the runway and got the front nose stuck. They closed the airport while 20 or so plows hit the runway again. Meanwhile, they had several men w/ square nose shovels (not snow shovels) dig to get us out and then used the little tug to tow us back. We had to re- de-ice and try it again. Needless to say, when we finally lifted off, the plane clapped and cheered with relief and after 6 hours on the aircraft, we were grateful to not be a story on the Nightly News.
