january in washington

...has been beautiful.  today was such a lovely day - sunny and warm.  i feel like i need to document this as snow is in the forecast.

we took advantage of the nice day and went to the botanical garden. 

and... i got a new coat.  it is VERY bright, but i love it.  it is helping me make friends with strangers as people feel the need to comment... a lot.

i cant remember exactly what day this was... but miss haley came upstairs with me to grab something, and she put on my red shoes, found a purse and handed me her baby.  she said i needed to watch the baby because she was going to church and was going to be gone for a really long time.  she walked out and closed the door behind her.

(there was crying when i made her take off the shoes.  i am such a meanie)
